Sublet June 1st in JP; 3b1ba, near Jackson Square

⭐️We are searching for a new tenant to take over the lease of our roommate who is moving out (Sorry, no couples please.). The available room is huge, sunny, and has 3rd-floor apartment views in JP! Rent is $1250/month.... ⭐️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

💰Rent and Utilities💰
• Rent is $1250/month! this is the largest room in the unit by drastically much.
• Wifi, gas and electric are split and vary across the seasons; in the colder or hotter months, gas and electric are more expensive, respectively. Wifi is $30 each, and gas and electric can vary from $15-60 each depending on the season. It’s usually around $20-30.
• Move-in costs are first month’s rent and security deposit (2 x $1250 = $2500). The rent goes to the landlord and the security deposit will go to the roommate who is moving out.
• NO BROKER’S FEE!

🏠Room/Apartment🏠
• the room is the largest in the unit — by a lot. It’s sun-soaked and not too hot, not too cold. It has a private entrance and is proximal to our shared storage room.
• coin-op washer/dryer in basement
• private balcony for the unit out back
• parking on the street is free or can be in arrangement with roommates for the driveway
• the unit was renovated just before I moved in in Sept. 2023 (new appliances and bathroom fixtures!)
• no dishwasher (we keep dishes washed and out of the sink much of the time anyways)
• fully furnished kitchen and living room — we invite you to share in our kitchen utensils, dishes, pots/pans, etc

📍Location📍
• 5 minute walk to Jackson Square and Stop and Shop.
• 10-13 minute walk to Whole Foods, the 35 and 39 bus, The Haven/Cafe Ula.
• It’s a super central location in a neighborhood off of Centre Street— we have multiple restaurants, salons, corner stores, liquor stores, and more.
• Plenty of roadside parking available if you have a car or have guests — no permit required!

🐱Pets🐈‍⬛
You will have 2 cat roommates who are very sweet and shy. Sorry, we can’t accommodate any other pets!

📝Misc📝
No smoking indoors. Can’t accommodate any couples, unfortunately! We live on the 3rd floor, with two apartments below us that share our curbside trash and recycling bins (they come 2x a week). Our landlord is a professor and remains accessible by text or email. We haven’t had much any issue with maintenance requests. We maintain a chore chart and other cleaning/shared space expectations. Our house is definitely on the tidy and quiet side and we are looking for a roommate to fit the space!

Seeking someone in their mid-late 20s/early 30s, vaccinated, LGBTQIA+ friendly. Queer roomates highly preferred. Searching for someone who is quiet, considerate, and communicative, ready to come to an agreement about shared living expectations and chores, respectfully.

🏡About the roommates:

Beth🎨 (me)
I’ve been living here in this unit since 9/1/2023. I’m 26, originally from Texas, moved to MA for philosophy grad school, and moved to JP once I graduated. I am a florist currently and love all things art, plants, music, etc. I enjoy baking, crocheting, and playing my keyboard (quietly🙂) a lot lately! I am searching for a roommate who is respectful, supports open channels of communication, tidy, conscientious, and friendly. I enjoy hanging around the living room to play with my cats or catch an episode of whatever TV show I’m into lately. I have a pretty consistent schedule and occasionally host guests. That said, I am very conscientious of volume and things like that. Excited to meet you! 🙂

I've been living here since 6/1/2024! Very new to the area, excited to see and explore more of Boston!! I was born and raised in Florida, and I had been in Maine for some time, so living in the city is a big change of pace! I love drawing, animating, and I generally play video games with my friends in my free time. My only considerations for roommates are kind, respectful people who are trans-positive, who make sure to clean up after themselves! I might not show up in the common spaces too often, as my hobbies usually keep me in my room, or I'm hanging out with friends! Happy and excited to be able to help make the living space comfortable in whatever way I can 🙂

If you’re interested, comment and DM me with some more information about you — what brings you to the area, what do you do for a living, what type of lifestyle do you have, what type of roommate relationship are you looking for, what are your hobbies and interests, how often do you anticipate having guests over, what is your approach to cleaning in shared spaces, etc. Looking forward to hearing from you! 🙂

bedroom, partially furnished. it’s very large, just over 26,000 square inches from my rough measurements. that doesn’t include the closet in the measurement.
