All yours most of time: 1BR in charming furnished 2BR w/parking, transit, just outside Camb/Somvl

1 BR for 1 person available in sunny, fully furnished & equipped 2-BR townhouse with 1 shared bath. You'll have the place to yourself most of the time, as I currently live mostly in my hometown a few hours away. I expect to visit for up to 2... weeks every 2-3 months.

Min stay: 3 months
Max stay: 6 months <-- Please note

All utilities and a monthly housecleaning service are included.

Renting my Arlington home to visiting faculty and fellows for the past 6 years has been wonderful. Until recently, I rented out the entire townhouse, but I would like to visit more and to stay in my own place.

I'm an upbeat, middle-aged woman with a quiet lifestyle. When I stay in Arlington, I'll work from home much of the week. When I'm away, though, I'll leave my personal possessions in my bedroom, so the living room, dining room, bath, and kitchen will feel more fully yours.

My cuddly, quiet little poodle will come with me. He's sweet to people, but he doesn't always get along with other pets, which -- together with my allergies -- is why he needs to be the only animal resident.

GETTING AROUND:
• Off-street parking in the driveway (I'll park next door.)
• Car- and bike-sharing spots 10 min walk away
• #87 bus 2 blocks away; #77 & 79 a 10 min walk away
• Red Line T (subway) Davis and Alewife Stations each a 10-min bike or bus ride or 20-25 min walk

• Tufts University: walk or bike
• Harvard: bike or bus
• MIT: bike or bus + subway (I did this MIT commute for 16 years.)

THE PROPERTY:
• Large, fenced yard with deck and shed
• One shared wall w/neighboring home
• Kitchen with convenient layout
• Living room and dining room
• Washer and dryer in private basement (free)
• Storage available in basement
• 1 bedroom for you, w/closet, 2 dressers, bookcase, desk, and high-quality office chair
• 1 bedroom for me
• Complete with linens, all kitchen items, etc. Just bring your suitcase!

THE AREA:
Within a 10 minute walk are:
• a supermarket,
• a bike path,
• the Alewife Brook & Mystic River, and
• the vibrant East Arlington business district with restaurants, movie theater, art and gift shops, banks, post office, etc.

Within a mile are Davis Square and Arlington Center, each of which offers even more restaurants, shops, and theaters.

While so much is available right nearby, the neighborhood itself is quiet, with yards and trees, and many friendly and interesting neighbors.
